It was the kid's idea to go to coffee. Pook said, "Let's go and get some coffee and sit there while we drink it." Mom said, "That sounds like fun, we haven't done that for quite some time."
Soooo we waited for Sis to find her shoes....after a half an hour we were finally able to get out the door.
Note to self: Unless children are completely and entirely dressed from head to toe, do NOT under any circumstances, agree to do anything.
We arrive at our local coffee establishment and start to order all of our goodies. Pook decides that he is going to buy a tea cup for himself and his own specialty coffee drink. As he checks out, he is informed that his gift card doesn't have enough to pay for all of his goods. Bummer! He comes and sits down in a frump!
Just as Pook was about to enjoy the use of his lastest gadget, Mem spills a whole sampler cup of decaf coffee on his lap, all the while her older sister is loudly declaring that she needs to sit down and put that cup of coffee down.
I felt like I was an outsider witnessing something that only happens when children are out of control crazy. No, I shook my head to try to wake myself up - this is really happening and these are really my children.
As I am shaking sense into my head, Mem jumps up to go get napkins to wipe Pook and the floor up. Sis sits down after some stern-voiced mother beckons her to do so and calmness returns once again.
I wouldn't trade these type of mornings for anything.....or would I? ha ha Aren't they the cutest little punks you have ever seen??

Yes, they are the cutest punks EVER but...somedays it is okay to want to trade them in for the upgraded version. Upgrade, upgrade, let me upgrade...LOL
