I made this card for my sister - she and her husband have let me & the kids crash here for almost three weeks.  She's kinda special - I would pretty much call her my best friend. 

So I stayed up really late (mostly because I had coffee REALLY late) and whipped it up for her!

It was fun.  I started with the leaves and put them together then just went on from there.  I knew that I wanted to use the My Favorite Things Owls of the Season set.... so there you have it a card for Karrie.

Pucker Up!

I just kissed my kids good-nite so it is the perfect time to post this card!  I actually made it before leaving for Arizona.  I just never got to post it and since I have 4 (FOUR, yes, FOUR!) more owls stamps by OBP to give away - I thought it would be the perfect time to post it.....

I LOVE these Odd Bird Planet goldfish!!!  I wrote the "Pucker Up!" on the card and drew the little heart in the middle of the fish because I didn't have a small enough heart stamp to go in between them.

So let's get down to the nitty gritty of this post - other than showing off another card - these little Hooters need a new home!!!

Odd Bird Planet turned out some cuties - I AM completely biased as to how cute these owls are because my sister, Karrie, drew them and Johanna rubbered them up!

K, something that was out of my comfort zone... I recently reconnected with some college friends on Facebook, including my college ex. (we are both happily married.) This week while I was visiting family in PA he asked me to go to lunch with him and I did. We actually had a good time (not terribly weird) and I was really glad I did. We were really good friends a long time ago and it was nice that we could forget the past and still be friends.

Owl-some simply owl-some!

Funny how "owl" can take the place of almost anyword now...isn't it?!?  Another day another giveaway - Yeah Baby!  Bring it on!!! 

First, I want to show you this sweet little owl that Memory Box just put out.  Isn't it sweet?  The little branch and the little saying came with the set - yessirree Bob - downright darling! 

I had to use it the minute I laid my eyes on it in Karrie's stash.  You would be amazed at all the little ditties that she has actually you probably wouldn't....enough of her though, she has her own blog.  HA HA!! Love ya Karrie!

Scrappin' It

Last Friday was a day filled with OBP - yes, Odd Bird Planet seemed to seep into my every card.  I didn't make 1/2 the amount that Karrie or Dana did, but I kept a pretty steady pace in between naps and falling asleep at the counter because Karrie had kept me up way to late the night before!!!  But we won't go into that will we???

I snagged some of Dana's already pre-cut flowers and stuffed that cute little owl in there again!!  LOVE HIM!!!

The paper was left over from the card that I posted yesterday...

Are you down with the OBP?

Alas, I missed the opportunity to purchase this crazy cool set from Odd Bird Planet.  Have no fear, Karrie is ever so near and I snagged it in a moment of desperation!

Even the little guy is jumping for joy that I used him!!! See....

He is soo adorable!  This card took me all of 5 minutes to stamp & color - gotta love those type of cards!  The background paper did all the work for me!!!

Be on the look out starting tomorrow! Karrie and I are gonna give away a couple of unmounted stamps each day for the next 4 days - they are her super-uper-duper cute stamps that she drew up and Johanna put to da rubber!

Reminder

There are those days that you need to remind the one that you have committed your life, love and everything about you to that you love them.  For that day, I whipped up this little reminder:

Forgetfulness

It happens ya know.  You tell someone that you will do something for them and it completely slips your mind, because other things crowd thier way in there.  That is what happened to me, oh, let's say 8 months ago. 

You see, I was invited to a baby shower, some 9 months ago and I brought a gift but I really wanted to make announcements too as part of her gift.  She didn't know what she was having yet and I would have to wait and not be johnny-on-the-spot with them already done. 

Well, the baby came and I went on our annual big vacation and .... let's just say those announcements just never appeared. 

Months later I remembered, I know how absolutely awful, I will admit this does happen and how much of an idiot I feel like. 

The dear NEVER said anything but graciously smiled at me when I remembered and said "Oh my goodness, I never made the announcements.  I'm sorry.  Can I make announcements for his 1st birthday????"  Please..... I am begging.... let me make them!!!!  I know you don't normally "announce" a child's 1st birthday but why not????  It is a milestone right???? 

So these are the two that I came up with....as a matter of fact, when I got here I told my sis that all I was going to stamp were these announcements.  These were the first two that came out of the shoot:

At this point in my timeline of things, not only will she get whatever number of announcements that she wants, but envelopes with stamps on them for cryin' out loud!
